How we built pluginsight.com: a simple landing page for a complex product
Plug Insight is a cloud based management system for shore power in ports. We designed and built a new landing page in Webflow that explains the product in under a minute, and that Plug can run on their own.

The project in short
Plug Insight is the software from Plug, the Bergen company electrifying ports around the world. The system lets ports, grid companies and shipping lines plan port calls, monitor connections and invoice power from a single interface, regardless of the hardware on the quay. In summer 2026 we were asked to build a dedicated website for the product at pluginsight.com. It was a smaller job than the full brand and website project we did for Plug earlier this year, but with a clear brief: explain a technical product simply, and get the right people to book a demo.
The challenge: say less
The first draft had too much content. We had explained everything the system can do, how ports work today and why that is hard. The feedback from Plug was precise: the purpose was a simple page that helps people understand the product quickly. So we cut. The whole section on today's workflow went, the list of problems went, and we were left with three messages that carry the entire page: plan the call, deliver the power, document the numbers.
It is an exercise we do in almost every project, but it matters even more when the product is complex. The more technical the solution, the simpler the page has to be.

What we delivered
- Structure and copy for a landing page that explains the product in under a minute
- Design in line with Plug's new visual identity
- Development in Webflow with components Plug can reuse
- Newsletter form from Plug's email tool, styled to match the design
- Meta titles, descriptions and technical SEO before launch
- Consent solution and domain setup
How we worked
The first draft was ready at the end of July. Plug gathered feedback from the team, we did two rounds of adjustments and one short meeting, and the site went live in early August. Small things, like buttons pointing to the full URL and triggering an unnecessary animation, were fixed the same day they were reported. When the brief is clear and the client responds quickly, a website project does not need to take more than a few weeks.
Why Webflow here too
Plug's main site plugport.no is already built in Webflow. Using the same platform for pluginsight.com gives the team one tool to learn, one way to publish content and the same consent solution on both domains. That makes it easy to add new pages as the product grows, without going through us for every change.
Frequently asked questions
How long did the project take?
Around three weeks from kickoff to published site, including the client's summer holiday.
Can we build a product page without redesigning the whole brand?
Yes. Here we built on the identity Plug already had and spent the time on structure, copy and technical quality.
What separates a landing page from a regular website?
A landing page has one goal and one action. Anything that does not support that goal, we remove.
